Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of PeopleSoft Vertex application and systems, ensuring proper functionality, security, and performance.
- This includes tasks like monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, patching, and user management.
Vertex Installation :
- Identify Vertex plug-in locations.
- Identify Vertex dll and shared library locations.
- Set up variables for the Vertex database location.
- Installation of Vertex
- Set up PeopleSoft installation options for Vertex Q Series.
- Test the Vertex installation
- Troubleshoot installation errors
Setting up hardware:
- This involves installing the necessary hardware components (e.g., servers, network devices) and ensuring they are configured correctly.
Integrating with existing systems:
- This ensures the Vertex software can communicate and interact with other systems in the customer's environment.
Network configuration:
- Setting up and configuring the necessary network infrastructure to support the Vertex software and its integration with other systems.
Documentation:
- Providing clear and concise documentation for the installed software and system configurations.
Training:
- Providing training to the customer on how to use the installed software and system.
Support:
- Providing ongoing technical support to the customer after installation, addressing any issues or questions that may arise.
