We are seeking a Senior UAT Engineer with a strong background in OTT (Over-the-Top) platforms to join our quality assurance team. This role involves leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives for high-performance video streaming applications and ensuring they meet business and user expectations across iOS and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute UAT efforts for OTT applications, ensuring end-user functionality aligns with business requirements.
- Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to define UAT strategies, test scenarios, and success criteria.
- Use tools like Charles Proxy to monitor and analyze network traffic during testing phases.
- Analyze and troubleshoot application logs, particularly on iOS platforms, to identify and escalate issues.
- Review feature implementations and provide feedback based on real-user scenarios.
- Create and maintain UAT documentation, including test plans, test cases, and user guides.
- Report bugs clearly and effectively and work closely with developers to validate fixes.
- Ensure timely delivery of UAT sign-offs, balancing thorough testing with project deadlines.
- Stay current with OTT industry trends and evolving user behaviors to continuously improve testing practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in software QA or UAT, with a strong emphasis on OTT platforms.
- Proficient in Charles Proxy for intercepting and analyzing API and network traffic.
- Strong experience gathering and analyzing application logs on iOS devices.
- Deep understanding of OTT workflows, streaming protocols, and user experience expectations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, or other streaming platforms.
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks is a plus.
