This role requires deep hands-on expertise in working with Cisco, Juniper, and Vyatta platforms (physical and virtual), and configuring SIP-based IP telephony, session border controllers, firewalls, and SD-WAN environments.
You will play a critical role in translating complex customer requirements into technical implementations in line with TAO (Technology as an Offering) standards, and lead both design and troubleshooting engagements across a multi-tenant, virtualized network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and AT&T Technical Sales Consultants to design and validate custom TAO solutions.
- Identify contractual gaps versus customer needs and escalate them to the NI engagement team as needed.

- Routers (Cisco, Juniper, Vyatta)
- Session Border Controllers (SBC) — AudioCodes and Oracle
- SD-WAN devices (Cisco, VeloCloud, Silver Peak)
- Firewalls (Fortigate, Palo Alto)
- Troubleshoot deployment and connectivity issues in collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customer IT staff.
- Provide Tier-3/4 operational support for escalations and post-deployment technical queries.
- Serve as a single point of contact (technical lead) for assigned customer implementations.
- Support change management, including design validation, change approvals, testing, and documentation updates.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of in-depth experience in network routing and switching, particularly across Cisco, Juniper, and Vyatta environments.
- 3+ years of experience configuring and supporting AudioCodes and Oracle SBCs.
- 2+ years of experience in Network Function Virtualization (NFV), preferably in cloud or virtualized multi-tenant environments.
- Solid understanding of SIP, IP Telephony, VoIP, and unified communications protocols.
- Expertise in configuring and supporting:
- SD-WAN (Cisco, VeloCloud, Silver Peak)
- Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto)
- Virtual routers (e.g., Juniper vSRX)
- Familiarity with Avaya voice systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent documentation skills using Visio, Word, and related tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to manage complex implementations under pressure.
- Effective communicator with the ability to interface directly with customers and technical/non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or AudioCodes/Oracle SBC certifications.
- Experience working in a telecom carrier, managed services, or large-scale enterprise networking environment.
- Working knowledge of SDN/NFV orchestration or cloud-based network service models.
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions with confidence.
- High level of professionalism, ownership, and accountability.
