• We are looking for a Senior Smallworld GIS developer (4 to 10+ years experience) to work with our client, a FTSE 100 company in London, UK.
• The developer will be primarily working on a project to migrate an existing system built upon GE Smallworld Classic to the latest version.
• Employment Type: Fulltime, permanentRoles/ResponsibilitiesDesign and development of interfaces between GE Smallworld and other business applicationsExplore and evaluate various design patterns for interfaceDesign and develop enhancements to the distribution GIS application on Smallworld Classic
• Skills RequiredExpertise in implementing Smallworld GIS applications in an Electric Utility.
• Experience with GE Smallworld GeoSpatial Server
• Experience with GE Smallworld Internet Application ServerExperience with GE Smallworld GeoSpatial Analysis
• Experience in implementing applications in Smallworld Classic, SWAF, and Electric Office.
• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into technical architecture/design.
• Understanding of software development concepts, designs, and approaches.
• Assist Project Manager with change impact assessment and development of estimates.
• Expertise in Magik programming
• Understanding of the Distribution Outage Management domain is a plus.
• Strong analytic, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
