6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Simulation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation and Tecnomatix Process Simulate to design, model, and optimize virtual manufacturing systems. This role is critical for enabling digital validation, performance analysis, and continuous improvement within smart manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and optimize discrete-event simulation models of manufacturing systems using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation.
- Create virtual production processes using Tecnomatix Process Simulate for digital validation and early-stage process verification.
- Integrate and simulate virtual PLCs and IoT devices to reflect real-time plant behaviors and interactions.
- Conduct “what-if” analyses for various manufacturing scenarios, such as:
- Schedule adjustments
- Line stoppages and downtime impact
- Device malfunctions (PLC/IoT)
- Process flow or configuration changes
- Analyze simulation outputs to detect inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement areas.
- Present insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams for process optimization.
- Support digital transformation and smart factory initiatives by contributing to virtual commissioning and process modeling.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing simulation and process modeling.
- Proven expertise in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation and Process Simulate.
- Solid understanding of PLC systems, IoT integration, and digital twin concepts.
- Strong skills in data analysis, performance metrics interpretation, and process optimization.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).
Good to Have:
- Experience in virtual commissioning and model-based systems engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Exposure to MES, SCADA, or other industrial automation systems.
