Job Descritpion of Service Now CSM Senior Developer

8 to 10 Years Relevant Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer who has the ability to act as a mentor and provide solutions to the development team, as well as perform hands-on development (including advanced scripting). This person preferably has some experience developing ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) skills and has experience as a developer outside of ServiceNow.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Advanced scripting skills in JavaScript and GlideScript
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
  • Strong problem-solving and solution design capabilities
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow’s Integration Hub and Flow Designer
  • Experience supporting Customer Service organizations
  • Develops UI forms, fields, notifications, and workflows
  • Maintains JavaScript server/client code
  • Builds reports, gauges, and home pages
  • Maintains service level agreement (SLA) data and monitors SLA workflows
  • Creates new service catalog requests and items with variables
  • Creates, monitors, modifies, and publishes workflows with approvals
  • Searches, populates, and customizes the CSM knowledge base(s)
  • Creates access control rules
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow applications and interrelationships
  • Experience with implementing ServiceNow processes and functions
  • Experience with Service Management and related tools
  • Familiarity with web applications, networks, protocols, and email (SMTP, POP3)
  • Integration experience with CRM and ERP systems
  • Web Services integration experience
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in CSM

Additional Skills & Certifications

  • Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with project team members
  • Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration and retrospectives)
  • ITIL V3/V4 Foundation certification
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification
  • ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) certification
