6-8 Years of Relevant Experience
Looking for a skilled and results-driven Performance SDET with 6–8 years of experience in performance testing, cloud-based systems, and observability tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in JMeter, AWS services, and Datadog, and will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance under load by building robust performance test strategies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, and stress tests using Apache JMeter and other performance tools.
- Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and performance issues in backend systems and APIs.
- Monitor application performance and infrastructure metrics using Datadog, and provide detailed reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with developers, SDETs, DevOps, and architects to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Simulate realistic load scenarios in AWS environments, leveraging services like EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Automate performance test execution as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish baseline performance metrics, set thresholds, and create alerts for anomalies.
- Document performance test strategies, scripts, and findings in clear and concise reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in performance engineering or performance testing roles.
- Hands-on experience with Apache JMeter for performance and load testing.
- Solid experience working with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency with Datadog for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
- Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, latency, throughput, and system tuning.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
