8 to 10 Years Relevant Experience
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Funds Management (FM) Consultant with proven experience in ECC and S/4HANA implementations, support, and deep functional expertise in public sector budgeting and fund control processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP FM solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules like FI, CO, and MM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver at least two full-cycle ECC and two S/4HANA implementations focused on Funds Management for large enterprises or public sector organizations.
- Provide post-go-live support and enhancement implementation (minimum of two support engagements required).
- Configure and manage end-to-end FM processes, including:
- Master Data (Fund Centers, Commitment Items)
- Budgeting (Planning, Distribution, Supplements, Returns)
- Commitment Management integrated with P2P cycle
- Actual and Commitment Postings
- Availability Control setup and monitoring
- Analyze and document business requirements and translate them into Functional Specifications (FS).
- Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT); support data validation and reconciliation.
- Integrate FM with other modules such as FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and MM (Materials Management).
- Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business users and technical teams.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective resolutions.
- Ensure accurate and consistent FM derivations, manage account assignments, and monitor FM table data flow.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of SAP experience with specific focus on Funds Management (FM).
- Proven implementation experience in ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Deep understanding of:
- Budget Execution Processes
- Availability Control Logic and Tolerances
- FM Integration with P2P and GR/IR cycles
- Actuals and Commitment Updates
- FM Derivation Rules and Validation/Substitution Logic
- Hands-on experience in creating and testing functional specs independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
- Experience in FM data migration, master data load, and budget upload tools.
Preferred/Good-to-Have:
- Exposure to public sector implementations or government financial systems.
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to Funds Management and Budget Control.
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, Jira, or other change request management tools.
- Understanding of grants management, project budgeting, or integration with PS module.
