4 to 6 Years Relevant Experience
We are looking for a seasoned Polarion Technical Architect to design and lead the implementation of advanced variant management and ALM solutions using Siemens Polarion. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Polarion, product line engineering, and the automotive domain, with a strong grasp of requirements traceability, systems engineering principles, and industry standards like ASPICE and ISO 26262.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and architect the variant management framework in Polarion based on client-specific product line and engineering needs.
- Design and implement feature models, variant configurations, and variant-specific artifacts including requirements, test cases, and validation documents.
- Customize workflows, fields, roles, permissions, and traceability models to support complex product structures.
- Architect and implement system integrations with other ALM/PLM tools using REST APIs, web services, and custom connectors.
- Develop custom scripts and utilities using Velocity to extend Polarion’s core capabilities.
- Design and enhance LiveDocs, Work Items, custom dashboards, and document/report templates for improved variant usability and visualization.
- Support quality and compliance needs by aligning Polarion implementation with industry standards and engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Tools:
- Expert-level knowledge of Siemens Polarion ALM, particularly the Variant Management module
- Strong background in Product Line Engineering (PLE) and Systems Engineering
- Advanced experience with Velocity scripting for Polarion customization
- In-depth understanding of requirements engineering, traceability models, and workflow design
- Familiarity with automotive standards like ASPICE and ISO 26262
- Strong experience working in the automotive domain or related safety-critical environments
