We are seeking a skilled GIS Engineer with strong technical experience in GIS platforms (Esri/Smallworld) and geospatial application development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of requirement analysis, GIS system design, data integration, and team leadership. You will play a key role in converting business requirements into functional GIS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct requirement analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate the integration of GIS components into broader system architectures.
• Translate functional requirements into GIS workflows, data models, and geospatial solutions.
• Lead small to medium-sized GIS teams and support project planning, execution, and delivery.
• Develop and manage GIS solutions using the Esri/ArcGIS Suite and/or GE Smallworld tools, including:
  • ArcGIS Desktop / ArcGIS Pro
  • ArcGIS Online / ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal)
  • WebGIS & Map Services
• Work with geodatabases (File/Enterprise/SQL-based), ensuring efficient spatial data modeling and management.
• Use Python and arcpy scripting for automation of GIS tasks and workflows.
• Ensure integration with other enterprise systems where required.
• Document technical solutions and workflows as per project standards.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of GIS fundamentals and geospatial data management.
• Experience with Esri technologies (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise).
• Familiarity with GE Smallworld GIS platform.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and arcpy for automation and tool development.
• Hands-on experience with at least one GeoDatabase system (e.g., File Geodatabase, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server).
• Proven experience in requirement gathering, technical feasibility analysis, and GIS design.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• WebGIS development experience (JavaScript APIs, Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder).
• Understanding of data publishing, map services, and portal administration.
• Experience working in utility, telecom, or infrastructure domains.
• Exposure to cloud-based GIS platforms and data hosting.
