6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience
We are looking for a motivated and skilled NoSQL Database Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cassandra and working knowledge of Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have scripting abilities, solid communication skills, and a willingness to support production and migration activities. This role includes planning, administering, and optimizing large-scale NoSQL database environments and collaborating across teams to ensure reliable and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and administer Cassandra database systems, including structure definition, documentation, requirements gathering, operational standards, and data protection.
- Develop data models, and assist in planning database architecture, functionality, and implementation strategies.
- Perform data analysis, identifying relationships, attributes, storage needs, flow, and reporting requirements.
- Support production environments, including incident resolution and migration activities.
- Create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources to meet stakeholder needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging NoSQL technologies and participate in ongoing learning.
- Research and evaluate new tools and recommend improvements or alternatives.
- Work in shifts as required for operational continuity.
- Contribute to performance tuning, functionality improvements, and continuous optimization efforts.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL technologies.
- Strong experience in Linux-based environments.
- Proven ability in production support, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Involvement in database migration projects.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Scripting knowledge in Shell or Python.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
- Experience in data model design, including planning for architecture, recovery, and implementation standards.
- Exposure to DevOps environments or tools supporting automation.
