8 to 10 Years Relevant Experience
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ab Initio Developer with extensive experience in data warehousing, parallel processing, and big data technologies. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex programs and data pipelines from detailed technical specifications in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop complex applications and data flows based on detailed technical specifications.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs to meet performance and quality standards.
- Work independently on system design, coding, maintenance, research, problem resolution, and on-call support for existing systems.
- Perform unit testing and assist with integration and system testing based on detailed test plans.
- Collaborate with business partners on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
- Ensure code asset management practices are followed across applications.
- Promote and support the reuse of components and best practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with organizational methodologies and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Ab Initio and Data Warehousing in a parallel processing environment.
- 3–5+ years of SQL experience in an enterprise environment with advanced SQL coding and optimization skills.
- Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem including:
- Proficient in Unix KornShell (KShell) scripting.
- Strong debugging, testing, and software development skills.
- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and BigQuery.
- Solid understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare domain knowledge.
- Experience with ZEKE job scheduling (a plus).
- Familiarity with mainframe and midrange environments.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
- Membership or active participation in technical or professional organizations/user groups.
