We are seeking a highly skilled 5G Wireless Networks Administrator with deep expertise in RF network planning, design, and optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end radio network planning, ensuring optimal 4G/5G coverage, capacity, and performance across diverse environments. You will collaborate with multi-vendor ecosystems and leverage advanced tools to deliver high-quality network design and continuous performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radio network planning and design using tools such as Atoll, MapInfo, and GIS platforms, including coverage prediction, site selection, and KPI validation.
- Conduct propagation modeling across various morphologies (urban, suburban, rural) and validate network coverage through crowdsource data analysis.
- Prepare and review Link Budgets, Pathloss, BOM/BOQ, and technical architecture documents for complete RF design delivery.
- Ensure compliance with EMF, throughput, and coverage regulatory standards for new builds, carrier upgrades, and capacity enhancement (infill) sites.
- Collaborate with multi-vendor ecosystems (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, NEC, Mavenir, Rakuten) to define hardware, antenna specifications, and integration with planning tools.
- Support automation, scripting, and OSS/SON integration to optimize design efficiency, automate reporting, and enhance overall radio access network performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations for coverage prediction analysis, model tuning, and continuous network improvement.
Essential Skills & Expertise
- Strong background in RF Engineering and Network Planning for LTE, 5G, ORAN, and VRAN technologies.
- Proficiency with Atoll, MapInfo, and other GIS-based tools.
- Hands-on experience in crowdsource data analysis and coverage prediction report generation.
- Expertise in propagation modeling, including macro, in-building, and small-cell coverage design.
- Knowledge of end-to-end process flow and technical architecture of radio network planning and design.
- Experience with polygon generation, prediction plot creation, and 2D/3D modeling of terrain, buildings, and vegetation.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multi-vendor RF environments.
- Knowledge of automation scripting for RF design optimization.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven network performance tuning (nice to have).
